This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +1 more state.
• Utilize proprietary software applications to provide input and labels for designated projects.
• Assist in delivering high-quality curated data efficiently.
• Play a crucial role in supporting and contributing to the training of new tasks while collaborating closely with technical personnel to ensure the successful development and implementation of innovative technologies.
• Engage with technical staff to enhance the design of effective annotation tools.
• Address challenges that foster innovation in materials by guiding AI models to advance research in specialized fields, thereby improving outcomes in scientific discovery and application.
• Select problems from diverse areas within materials science that match your expertise, where you can confidently offer detailed solutions and assess model responses.
• Consistently interpret, analyze, and execute tasks in accordance with provided instructions.
• Master’s degree or PhD in materials science, physics, chemistry, chemical engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Expertise and focus in a materials-related subdomain, including but not limited to energy materials, semiconductors, nanomaterials, metals, alloys, biomaterials, polymers, elastomers, ceramics, or glasses.
• Proficient in reading and writing in both informal and professional English.
• Strong ability to navigate various information resources, databases, and online platforms is essential.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Solid reading comprehension abilities paired with the capacity to exercise independent judgment even when faced with limited data or materials.
