Master Data Architect, Databricks

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Assume technical leadership for a data modernization project with a new client.

• Guide the strategic technical direction of the account following the initial assessment phase.

• Lead the team in a technical capacity, empowering data scientists and developers to create, improve, and sustain data products.

• Engage in design and architecture discussions to define secure and efficient solutions.

• Convert business and technical requirements into feasible technical solutions by selecting the right frameworks and methodologies.

• Directly communicate with client team members to ensure technical solutions align with business objectives.

• Collaborate with strategy, customer experience, product, and non-technical program management teams.

• Ensure a stable and productive development environment for the team.

• Participate in data evaluations and complex data modernization initiatives.

• Identify priorities that yield incremental business value.

• Maintain a connection with CI&T's data practice and contribute to shared knowledge across projects and clients.

• Work across various projects, clients, and subject-matter domains with teams in Mexico, North America, Brazil, and other Latin American nations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficient in English (C1 or above).

• Proficient in Spanish (C1 or above).

• Extensive experience in data architecture design and technical leadership.

• Strong background in designing, developing, and deploying data pipelines, data lakes, data meshes, and other data products.

• Experience with cloud data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or similar.

• Familiarity with data pipeline orchestration and workflow automation.

• Proven experience in translating business challenges into data solutions.

• Preferred: Experience with consultative data assessments and data modernization projects.

• Preferred: Understanding of Data Governance principles.

• Preferred: Experience with CI/CD and MLOps pipelines.

• Preferred: Experience collaborating with pre-sales and presenting data solutions to non-technical stakeholders.

• Preferred: Ability to create proofs of concept and prototype complex technical solutions.

• Preferred: Experience in scaling data workloads.

• Preferred: Familiarity with AI projects and agentic coding.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
