This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +13 more states.
• Proactively conduct research and pinpoint potential new marketplace supplier candidates within targeted categories, utilizing competitive analysis, industry resources, and internal category gaps as key inputs.
• Initiate contact with prospective suppliers, clearly communicating SupplyHouse’s marketplace value proposition and managing the early relationship during the qualification phase.
• Collaborate with Category Management to prioritize and schedule discussions with new suppliers, ensuring alignment with category strategy before progressing candidates.
• Oversee the complete onboarding process for approved suppliers, which includes coordinating agreements, managing contract administration, communicating data requirements, and overseeing timelines.
• Lead the setup and validation of technical feeds for new suppliers—mapping product data, verifying feed accuracy, and resolving data quality issues prior to launch.
• Provide training to new suppliers on SupplyHouse’s systems, data standards, and operational requirements, ensuring they are prepared for long-term success on the platform.
• Act as the primary point of contact for new suppliers throughout the onboarding period, addressing issues and maintaining momentum to achieve go-live milestones.
• Record onboarding processes and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent, repeatable execution as the supplier base expands.
• Develop and uphold processes for claims, warranty, and returns for marketplace suppliers, ensuring clear guidelines and uniform implementation across the supplier base.
• Monitor supplier performance post-launch and identify issues with service levels, data quality, or accounting discrepancies for resolution.
• Review weekly data feeds for new item suggestions and collaborate with Category Management on item additions.
• Analyze competitor listings to uncover opportunities for enhancements in content, imagery, and positioning.
• Conduct image audits and data cleanup, including updates to attributes and filters on new brands.
• Take ownership of SOP creation and ongoing maintenance for marketplace operational workflows.
• Test and document new marketplace features and platform capabilities within supplier dashboards.
• Carry out ad hoc operational projects, such as data cleanup, content audits, and cross-system reconciliations.
• Work cross-functionally with Merchandising, Pricing, and Supply Chain teams to resolve issues and facilitate execution.
• Respond to basic marketplace customer inquiries escalated from Customer Service or order fulfillment, and review processed returns to identify trends.
• Reconcile discrepancies between freight and non-freight shipping methods and collaborate with Product Catalog to update item dimensions as necessary.
• Monitor out-of-stock items and communicate gaps to the Merchandising team; assist with price update processes to ensure alignment between SupplyHouse and supplier pricing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• At least 5 years of experience in marketplace operations, e-commerce merchandising, or a similar field.
• Strong analytical abilities to interpret sales and inventory data and convert findings into actionable strategies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort with multiple data systems and reporting tools.
• Experience managing supplier or vendor relationships in an operational role.
• Excellent organizational skills, capable of handling multiple workstreams and adapting to changing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective coordination across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to document processes and create SOPs in a structured, repeatable format.
