This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Lead the expansion of traffic and audience acquisition through search, social media, referrals, and emerging platforms.

• Take full ownership of the funnel from initial click to subscription conversion, focusing on enhancing engagement and retention.

• Create and refine paywall strategies, messaging, and user flows to boost conversion rates.

• Assess performance metrics related to traffic, engagement, and conversions to guide strategic decisions.

• Develop and oversee distribution strategies across search engines, news aggregators, and social media platforms.

• Collaborate with editorial teams to optimize headlines, content packaging, timing, and distribution.

• Promote experimentation across various channels, messaging approaches, and user experiences to enhance performance.

• Recognize and expand emerging growth opportunities, such as Google Discover and algorithm-driven platforms.

• Manage cross-functional projects, timelines, and execution across different teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-10+ years of relevant experience.

• A background in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Demonstrated experience in digital publishing, audience development, or growth marketing within news or media organizations.

• A proven history of driving traffic growth and subscription conversions through data-informed strategies.

• Strong knowledge of SEO, content distribution, and platform dynamics, including Google Discover.

• Experience in testing and optimizing paywalls, user flows, and conversion tactics.

• Capability to analyze data and convert insights into actionable growth strategies.

• A strong ownership mindset with the ability to independently build and implement strategies.

• Excellent skills in communication, organization, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Preferred: Experience in a digital publishing setting.
