This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop and oversee strategies and implement tactics that highlight the value of Wiley’s courseware offerings in the higher education chemistry and business sectors.
• Formulate and execute annual marketing plans with specific, measurable goals and objectives.
• Assess the effectiveness of strategies and tactics by consistently analyzing outcomes and taking necessary actions to enhance performance.
• Craft go-to-market strategies, sales toolkits, messaging templates, and other collateral, along with sales enablement materials.
• Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to effectively engage chemistry and business educators.
• Devise account-based strategies and monitor key target lists for new products and features.
• Engage with chemistry and business instructors through conferences, discussions, and social media platforms.
• Partner with Research colleagues to conduct surveys targeting instructors and students.
• Test and validate value propositions through individual interviews and live focus groups.
• Develop and implement market development strategies to raise awareness, foster engagement, and generate leads for new products.
• Construct and maintain competitive landscapes.
• Formulate distinctive value propositions and positioning for products.
• Showcase the use of tools during customer calls and presentations.
• Build relationships with authors and advocates while identifying new advocates, thought leaders, partners, and influencers.
• Organize webinars, trade shows, and other events tailored to the chemistry and business markets.
• Bachelor’s degree (BA or BS), preferably in business or marketing.
• Over 3 years of successful experience in marketing or selling technology products.
• Familiarity with higher education technology products is advantageous.
• Strong analytical skills that contribute to effective product management.
• Excellent writing, communication, and technology presentation abilities.
• Proficient experience with CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
• Experience with digital marketing tools for marketing automation, website management, and event coordination is a plus.
• Outstanding analytical skills and judgment to identify and prioritize opportunities.
• Highly motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities efficiently.
• Strong leadership abilities to effectively oversee campaigns and sales enablement initiatives.
• Capacity to influence individuals in other functional areas.
• Willingness to travel to several conferences throughout the year.
