This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Create engaging content and copy in both German and English, including blog articles, white papers, customer case studies, social media posts, sales enablement documents, and email marketing campaigns.
• Take ownership of the editorial calendar while collaborating closely with the Marketing and Sales teams, emphasizing lead generation and brand development.
• Continuously update and optimize local website content.
• Build and maintain relationships with technology and business media within your market, pitching story ideas, coordinating press releases, and managing media coverage.
• Manage internal communications for the local team, ensuring alignment with global messaging and company culture.
• Plan, organize, and execute local events such as trade shows, webinars, and partner activations.
• Ensure a strong brand presence at key B2B events in your market, targeting approximately 15 well-selected events annually.
• Oversee and enhance the brand's social media presence on platforms like LinkedIn, X, and Instagram through organic campaigns, aiming for a minimum of two posts each week.
• Monitor campaign performance against key performance indicators (KPIs) using analytics tools and continuously optimize based on data insights.
• Tailor the go-to-market (GTM) strategy to your market and its buyer personas.
• Serve as the main point of contact between global marketing and your local market—highlighting local insights, identifying market nuances, and ensuring the effective implementation of global initiatives.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Leadership—aligning local marketing efforts and ensuring the market's needs are recognized across the organization.
• Localize global campaigns for your market—going beyond mere translation to adjust messaging, channels, formats, and timing to fit local behaviors and cultural contexts.
• Brief, manage, and ensure quality control of a network of external partners (creative, PR, events, media buying) in collaboration with the central marketing team.
• 3 to 6 years of experience in marketing communications, public relations, or content marketing, preferably in B2B technology or SaaS; a background in fintech or expense management is highly advantageous.
• Fluent in German (C2 level or equivalent) with strong proficiency in English.
• Demonstrated success in PR, content creation, and event management.
• Familiarity with digital marketing tools such as LinkedIn Ads, Google Analytics, and CRM/marketing automation platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
• Strong editorial instincts with the ability to craft messages that resonate with B2B audiences.
• Entrepreneurial mindset: comfortable working independently in a dynamic scale-up environment.
• Proven capability to localize (not just translate) international campaigns—adapting strategy, tone, channel mix, and creative elements for local effectiveness.
• Experience contributing to annual GTM strategies: capable of developing a local market brief and influencing the global plan.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills: equally adept at engaging with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Leadership, translating discussions into cohesive marketing actions.
• Experience managing external agencies (PR, creative, events, media) and collaborating with internal growth teams.
• A background in fintech, spend management, or related B2B financial software is a significant advantage.
