Global Communications Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• You will oversee Zenity's global communications function from start to finish, including media relationships and engagements, executive communications, internal communications, corporate narrative, and social media.

• Manage our internal communications strategy, guide PR agencies across different markets, and collaborate directly with founders and senior leaders who are already recognized figures in AI security.

• Develop and execute Zenity's global media strategy targeting business, security, AI, and enterprise technology press.

• Cultivate and sustain first-name relationships with reporters, editors, and analysts who influence the AI security dialogue.

• Create materials that drive media coverage, including pitches, press releases, bylines, talking points, briefing documents, and rapid-response commentary.

• Implement a rapid-response program connected to breaking news, emerging threats, and the evolving AI news cycle, coordinating swift commentary with internal experts.

• Own and refine Zenity's core narrative and messaging framework as the category and product develop.

• Enhance the public profiles of the CEO and senior leaders through various public engagements.

• Shape the executive and corporate social strategy to align with brand voice and communications objectives.

• Measure and analyze coverage, share of voice, sentiment, and analyst positioning; transform this data into insights for a more refined strategy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in media relations, PR, or corporate communications, with significant time spent in the cybersecurity sector.

• Established and maintained relationships with reporters, editors, and analysts who focus on security and enterprise technology.

• Translated complex AI concepts into engaging stories that reporters and analysts are eager to publish.

• Ghostwritten for executives, ensuring the voice remains authentic across bylines, keynotes, and posts.

• Managed PR agencies and budgets, including international operations.

• Supervised or developed communications talent, or you are prepared to take on a direct report.

• Functioned both strategically and in a hands-on manner within a fast-paced, remote environment.
