This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Oversee designated regional territories to fulfill marketing goals and objectives.
• Expand the WM customer base by boosting comprehensive customer acquisitions.
• Arrange regular account visits alongside the revenue team, dispensary clients, and brand clients to promote “retail appreciation days.”
• Strengthen client relationships through impactful engagement and support initiatives.
• Maintain current relationships while engaging new potential customers.
• Implement culturally relevant strategies and programs that benefit WM clients, customers, and the industry.
• Collaborate with the Weedmaps Cultural and Events department to propose locally pertinent activations.
• Carry out programming within a designated marketing budget.
• Comprehend regional marketing strategies and customize them to optimize field market spending.
• Work with and guide key stakeholders in designing and executing campaigns, partnerships, and events within their market.
• Build strategic alliances with culturally relevant partners.
• Assess the return on investment (ROI) of partnerships, events, campaigns, and marketing strategies.
• Support overarching revenue and marketing team objectives and initiatives.
• Propel Weedmaps collaborative strategic partnership programs across various categories, including Entertainment, Fashion, Cause, Creative, and Sports.
• Oversee all facets of event production, including agreement negotiations and execution, planning and project management, budgeting and invoicing, internal coordination with cross-functional teams, vendor negotiations and management, risk assessments, logistics (permitting, shipping, ROS, load-in/out, set-up/strike-down, merchandising, staff management), as well as pre- and post-event reporting.
• Motivate the team to reach their potential by offering clear vision, objectives, and actionable feedback.
• Efficiently manage stakeholders to meet regional market OKRs.
• Ensure all stakeholders are trained and adhere to company standards.
• Operate a company-owned vehicle for business-related events.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communication, or a related field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in marketing or a similar management position.
• Familiarity with cannabis marketing best practices.
• Professional, philanthropic, and/or community experience within the cannabis industry.
• Proficiency with marketing tools and software.
• Experience in the technology sector.
• Ability to engage with individuals from diverse levels and backgrounds in a team setting.
• Exceptional organizational and communication skills.
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and networking abilities.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with minimal points.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time.
