📋 Description

• Monitor and evaluate high protein whey markets (WPC, WPI, functional whey ingredients) and concentrated milk markets (MPC/MPI).

• Track global dynamics of supply and demand, trade patterns, and pricing trends in dairy protein markets to create Ever.Ag’s proprietary pricing series.

• Identify essential factors influencing protein markets, including trends in milk composition, processing capabilities, and end-use demand (such as sports nutrition and food manufacturing).

• Generate forward-looking insights regarding market direction, volatility risks, and pricing forecasts.

• Develop and maintain analytical tools and models to support forecasts in the high protein dairy market.

• Collaborate closely with senior analysts and data teams to enhance methodologies and improve forecasting precision.

• Analyze critical datasets (production, inventories, trade, pricing) and convert them into actionable insights.

• Ensure consistency, integrity, and transparency in all data outputs.

• Lead the development and distribution of a monthly client-facing publication focused on dairy protein markets, including proprietary price series and forecasts.

• Contribute to written commentary and market outlook assessments.

• Prepare and deliver charts, visualizations, and presentation materials for both internal and external stakeholders.

• Support cross-commodity analysis across cheese, butter, NFDM/SMP, and whey markets as necessary.

• Respond to ad hoc research requests from clients and internal teams.

• Foster and maintain strong relationships with industry participants in high protein commodity markets (buyers, sellers, processors).

• Provide timely insights, data, and market context to support client discussions.

• Identify opportunities for new business, contract renewals, and value-added services.

• Collaborate with sales and leadership to expand Ever.Ag’s presence in dairy protein intelligence.

• Work cross-functionally with analysts, economists, and data teams to enhance the delivery of insights.

• Contribute to the development of Ever.Ag’s protein market coverage and analytical capabilities.

• Document processes and support enhancements in research workflows and tools.

• Other duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Agricultural Economics, Finance, Statistics, or a related discipline.

• 2–5 years of experience in the buying/selling of high protein commodities and/or analyzing high protein dairy markets.

• A solid understanding of high protein whey markets and/or high protein milk markets is preferred.

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data analysis, modeling).

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to simplify complex analyses.

• Familiarity with dairy commodity markets (cheese, butter, NFDM/SMP, whey) is essential.
