This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.
• Conduct thorough testing of developed web applications against defined requirements across a range of desktop browsers and mobile devices, ensuring compatibility across platforms and delivering a seamless user experience in any environment.
• Enhance and apply your knowledge of test automation by learning and utilizing low-code and no-code UI tools as part of your testing duties.
• Carefully document and track issues to ensure clarity and resolution, while maintaining open communication with development teams and stakeholders to facilitate quick troubleshooting and fixes.
• Develop and maintain thorough test documentation as required, including test plans, test cases, and test scripts, to promote repeatability and knowledge sharing within the team.
• Work closely with developers and stakeholders to effectively address issues, provide valuable feedback, and engage in defect triage meetings to prioritize problems based on their impact and urgency.
• Continuously monitor test progress in accordance with release schedules, efficiently prioritizing workloads to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality or thoroughness.
• Evaluate test environments and processes to drive ongoing improvements and maintain high-quality standards, actively proposing enhancements to testing strategies and tools that align with changing project needs.
• Assist the team by offering accurate estimates for testing efforts, aiding in realistic project planning and resource allocation to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software products.
• At least 2 years of practical experience in QA, including testing web applications, performing cross-browser functional testing, and a strong proficiency in bug tracking and reporting tools, along with expertise in writing detailed test cases.
• Strong working knowledge of test automation, ideally with Selenium WebDriver.
• Previous experience with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to improve testing effectiveness.
• Familiarity with Behaviour Driven Development (BDD) methodologies.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, to support all phases of the testing lifecycle.
• Ability to think on your feet and adapt under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and strong organizational abilities, essential for effective collaboration with developers and key stakeholders.
• Experience working in an Agile team environment.
• Comfortable and efficient working across both PC and Mac platforms.
• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certificate in Software Testing.
