Manual QA Engineer – Middle

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Ensure product quality through manual testing, test analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.

• Integrate hands-on QA tasks with a gradual shift towards automation.

• Operate efficiently within a fully agile environment, working alongside senior engineers while demonstrating the ability to manage tasks autonomously.

• Review and assess business requirements and technical specifications in partnership with BAs and developers to guarantee testability, clarity, and early bug detection.

• Conduct thorough testing of new features, which includes manual testing and creating automated scenarios using Gherkin syntax within the existing automation framework.

• Lead the release process as the accountable QA.

• Create and maintain relevant QA documentation for the team.

• Collaborate with other products to ensure the functionality of implemented solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in software quality assurance.

• Proactive communication skills with B1+ proficiency in both English and Russian.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities.

• Solid understanding of test design techniques to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Extensive knowledge of Git, including branching, merging, rebasing, and resolving conflicts.

• Strong grasp of SQL with the ability to write complex SQL queries for in-depth data validation.

• Proficient in testing RESTful APIs using tools such as Postman, SoapUI, or similar applications.

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and tools (e.g., GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or similar), including the ability to interpret pipeline failures.

• Good understanding of containerization, including running, inspecting, and troubleshooting.

• Capability to write and interpret Bash scripts for task automation and environment setup.

• Proven experience in Agile/Scrum environments, with a deep understanding of the QA role in all ceremonies.

• Proficient in utilizing bug tracking and test management systems like Jira and TestRail (or similar) to manage the complete defect lifecycle and report quality metrics.

• Hands-on experience using AI tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, or specialized QA agents) to enhance test case generation, bug analysis, and script development.

• Basic knowledge of a programming language (Java, C#, Python, or Typescript) is a plus.

• Understanding of Behavior-Driven Development (BDD) concepts and practical experience with frameworks like Cucumber, SpecFlow, or similar is a plus.

• Basic experience with Apache Kafka for testing event-driven systems is a plus.

• Familiarity with AI Agents, Skills, and MCP. Experience in integrating AI capabilities into testing workflows to enhance efficiency.
