Manual QA Engineer, Backend, Emails

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Analyze product requirements and convert them into organized test cases and scenarios.

• Test internal CRM systems focusing on data accuracy and validating business logic.

• Ensure proper triggers, segmentation, and delivery logic by validating email campaigns and push notifications.

• Conduct manual testing of web applications, including functional, regression, UI/UX, and smoke testing.

• Utilize Postman or Swagger to test APIs, addressing both positive and negative scenarios.

• Employ DevTools to inspect network requests, logs, and console errors while conducting in-depth issue analysis.

• Evaluate testing risks and assist in sprint planning and task estimation.

• Generate clear and structured bug reports that include accurate reproduction steps, prioritization, and context.

• Contribute to enhancements in QA processes, documentation, and overall testing efficiency.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 2 years of experience in manual QA (web), particularly in CRM and email campaign testing.

• Understanding of product models driven by retention and acquisition.

• Strong knowledge of SDLC/STLC, various testing types, and test design methodologies.

• Practical experience with API testing tools such as Postman or similar.

• Proficiency in writing test cases and bug reports using Jira or any Test Management System (TMS).

• Experience with databases like MongoDB, BigQuery, DataGrip, or a solid understanding of SQL.

• Basic familiarity with Git (pull, checkout, fundamental code review).

• Experience working with logs in tools like Grafana, Lens, or comparable software.

• Background in incident analysis and troubleshooting.

• Basic knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitLab (running builds, checking versions, triggering autotests).

• Experience using debugging tools like Charles or Fiddler.

• Capability to automate routine QA tasks such as data generation, database queries, and mock creation using AI tools.
