Manual QA Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ukraine.

📋 Description

• Manual testing: assess new features, fixes, and hotfixes across the Web UI and APIs.

• Risk-based testing: establish test scope based on financial and customer impacts; identify residual risks.

• API / E2E validation: conduct tests on REST APIs, asynchronous flows, and webhooks utilizing Postman/Newman (or similar tools).

• Data validation: confirm state transitions and side effects in PostgreSQL; comprehend idempotency and retries.

• Regression ownership: oversee and enhance smoke and regression suites for essential payment pathways.

• Incident-to-tests: transform production incidents into new regression cases or monitoring checks.

• Collaboration: engage closely with engineers and PMs to clarify requirements, reproduce issues, and verify fixes.

• Release reporting: deliver succinct QA notes for each release (scope, results, risks, follow-ups).

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in QA with a solid foundation in manual testing.

• Proficient in API testing (Postman/Newman, curl, Swagger/OpenAPI).

• Practical knowledge of: authorization vs. capture, refunds, webhooks, idempotency, and retries.

• Basic SQL skills (PostgreSQL): capability to validate records, joins, and state transitions.

• Experience with logging and monitoring tools (Grafana, Kibana/ELK, Sentry or similar).

• Comfortable working in a Kanban environment with no-sprints and rapidly changing requirements.

• Proficient in English (both written and spoken) for effective remote asynchronous collaboration.
