
Managing Attorney – Commercial and Business Litigation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Act as the primary legal advisor on intricate commercial litigation issues, particularly in the areas of partnership conflicts and business separations.
• Hold primary accountability for your own active caseload from the initial intake phase to resolution.
• Formulate and implement litigation strategies that align with client goals and the firm’s standards.
• Oversee and guide Senior Associates and Associates by providing strategic direction, supervision, and feedback on various matters.
• Review legal documents, motions, discovery materials, and work products to ensure quality, coherence, and strategic alignment.
• Delegate tasks effectively while retaining accountability for the overall direction and results of cases.
• Manage all phases of litigation, including motion practice, discovery, depositions, trial preparation, and negotiations.
• Offer direct, strategic, and practical legal advice to business clients.
• Work in collaboration with firm leadership on case strategy, staffing, and the development of practice groups.
• Contribute to the growth of attorneys through mentorship, coaching, and training initiatives.
• Maintain clear, professional, and effective communication with clients, colleagues, and the judiciary.
• Foster the firm’s growth through leadership, operational discipline, and a commitment to excellence.
• At least 15 years of litigation experience, showcasing a strong record in business disputes.
• Trial-ready, having tried a minimum of 5 cases and conducted 40 or more substantive depositions.
• Proven experience in managing or supervising other attorneys, with the capability to provide clear strategic guidance and mentorship.
• Highly proficient in motion practice, oral advocacy, and case strategy development.
• Experienced in navigating complex partnership disputes with a balance of strategic toughness and diplomacy.
• Licensed to practice law in New York (Florida admission is an advantage).
• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and dependable, with outstanding time management abilities.
• Proficient with technology and familiar with case management systems.
• Self-driven and highly accountable, capable of managing both an independent caseload and supervisory duties.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Dedicated to providing client-focused, business-minded legal solutions.
• Competitive salary range ($200,000 - $265,000, based on experience), plus a generous performance-based bonus structure.
