Managing Advisory Consultant – CMDB/ITOM, CSDM ServiceNow

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Establish and direct the foundational data architecture for ServiceNow encompassing CMDB, ITOM, and CSDM capabilities.

• Design and provide advice on CMDB architecture, including CI classes, CI relationships, Discovery, Service Mapping, and alignment of data models.

• Evaluate customer environments for potential business impacts, platform risks, data quality issues, and opportunities to enhance reporting, automation, operations, and future ServiceNow capabilities.

• Offer advisory support for the adoption and implementation of CSDM.

• Collaborate with customer stakeholders to ensure that technical architecture decisions are aligned with business outcomes, platform maturity, and long-term scalability.

• Lead and engage in consulting projects, creating assessments, workshops, strategies, roadmaps, and recommendations for executives.

• Collaborate with sales teams during discovery sessions, client meetings, scope development, and the creation of Statements of Work.

• Deliver expert-level consulting, architectural guidance, and risk mitigation solutions.

• Maintain trusted advisor relationships with customer executives, management, and technical stakeholders.

• Provide leadership, mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance to members of the consulting team.

• Contribute to the development of consulting methodologies, reusable templates, offerings, and practice materials.

• Support the quality of project delivery, utilization targets, training initiatives, and industry certifications.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree along with 7+ years of experience in ServiceNow consulting projects, or 11+ years of experience in Information Technology supporting ServiceNow, which includes at least 3 years of delivering large enterprise projects.

• ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – ITOM certification is mandatory.

• Proficient in ServiceNow CSDM principles and best practices, with hands-on application experience.

• Advanced consulting skills, including conducting workshops, business process analysis, strategic planning, risk management, and providing recommendations.

• Strong communication skills to effectively engage with C-suite executives, management, technical teams, and business stakeholders.

• Capability to lead complex projects, mentor team members, and address technical challenges.

• Technical proficiency across CMDB, ITOM, CSDM, Service Mapping, Discovery, CI relationships, and architectural design.

• Relevant certifications in a technical specialty are advantageous.

• Experience in consulting, project estimation and scoping, and pre-sales technical support is a plus.
