Manager, Workflow Automation – Microservices Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Egypt.

📋 Description

• Lead and guide a team of microservices developers, promoting a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous enhancement.

• Develop and implement the microservices strategy and roadmap in alignment with enterprise architecture and business objectives.

• Work closely with architects and senior stakeholders to define the technical vision and ensure it aligns with product and platform strategies.

• Design and implement microservices using contemporary frameworks such as Spring Boot, Node.js, and Python Flask.

• Encourage the use of containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and cloud-native patterns (AWS/GCP/Azure).

• Ensure effective API design and integration utilizing RESTful services, GraphQL, and event-driven architectures (Kafka, RabbitMQ).

• Manage project timelines, resource distribution, and delivery milestones across various squads.

• Apply Agile methodologies and guarantee that sprint objectives are achieved with high quality and speed.

• Handle stakeholder expectations and maintain transparency through efficient reporting and communication.

• Set coding standards, conduct code reviews, and establish automated testing frameworks.

• Track performance metrics and implement proactive alerting and logging strategies.

⛳️ Requirements

• 4-8 years of experience in software development, with a minimum of 3 years focused on microservices architecture.

• Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale distributed systems and cloud-native applications.

• Strong expertise in Java/Spring Boot and Node.js. Experience with React JS is advantageous.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

• Knowledge of API gateways, service mesh, and observability tools.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices, DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.

• Outstanding communication, stakeholder management, and team leadership abilities.
