Manager, UX Research

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the research roadmap for your designated product area, pinpointing opportunities that hold the greatest potential for customer and business impact.

• Oversee and mentor a small team of researchers, fostering their professional development and ensuring the quality of their output.

• Spearhead the planning and execution of research initiatives from start to finish, ensuring alignment with cross-functional peers and stakeholders throughout the process.

• Work in collaboration with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to synchronize research priorities with overarching business objectives.

• Combine research findings with additional data sources, such as product analytics and competitive intelligence, to identify patterns and opportunities, linking product strategies to business outcomes.

• Convert intricate findings into straightforward narratives and actionable recommendations, presenting these insights to stakeholders at all organizational levels, including senior leadership.

• Play a role in developing scalable research practices and infrastructure that enhance Smartsheet's UX maturity, including the identification of vendors to support your team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of UX research experience with digital products, demonstrating a history of insights that resulted in measurable product enhancements.

• Proven experience in managing or mentoring researchers, with a successful track record of developing talent and elevating work quality beyond personal contributions.

• Proficiency in both quantitative and qualitative research methods, along with the discernment to determine the appropriate method for each situation.

• Experience in conducting large-scale, complex research initiatives.

• A history of fostering alignment with cross-functional partners regarding user needs and engaging peers in the research process.

• Demonstrated capability to present research findings to executive audiences and influence subsequent decisions.

• Familiarity with B2B products that enhance business productivity, project management, or operational processes.
