• Assist in the coordination, documentation, and communication of medical services and benefit administration decisions.
• Utilize advanced technical skills to address moderately complex issues.
• Engage and communicate with providers, members, or other stakeholders to ensure optimal care and treatment.
• Conduct briefings and area meetings while maintaining regular contact with other managers within the department.
• A degree in nursing or a Master's degree in a behavioral health related field such as social work, counseling, or psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of a current, valid, and unrestricted license in the state of Virginia.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-degree clinical experience in direct patient care is required.
• At least 2 years of experience in utilization management within behavioral health is preferred.
• A minimum of 1 year of clinical supervisory experience is required, including personnel management responsibilities.
