This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and manage various SAP-based tax technology implementation projects while ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality expectations.
• Oversee all stages of the implementation lifecycle, which includes planning, requirements gathering, solution design, SAP and tax engine configuration, testing, knowledge transfer, and cutover support.
• Act as the main escalation point for issues related to project and client delivery.
• Offer subject matter expertise on third-party tax engines, SAP tax configuration, and integration considerations.
• Facilitate or assist in client workshops to define functional and technical requirements, business processes, and data impacts.
• Monitor SAP tax impacts within the SD, MM, and FI modules.
• Lead, mentor, and provide performance guidance to Consultants, Senior Consultants, and Lead Consultants.
• Review project deliverables and documentation to ensure compliance with DMA standards and best practices.
• Provide leadership with insights into project financial performance, production status, revenue impact, resource utilization, and delivery forecasting.
• Develop and enhance implementation methodologies, templates, documentation, and reusable assets.
• Assist in business development through solution scoping, estimation, and proposal development.
• Support internal initiatives for process improvement, automation, and practice development.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Accounting, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• 6–10 years of experience in tax technology, SAP implementations, or consulting roles with increasing responsibility.
• Strong knowledge of third-party transaction tax engines and integration architectures.
• Subject matter expertise in tax processes, SAP integrations, and impacts across SD, MM, and FI modules.
• Functional and technical proficiency in designing and building solutions within SAP while utilizing industry standards and SAP Best Practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills.
• Demonstrated ability to lead project teams, provide work direction, and manage multiple concurrent engagements.
• Experience in mentoring and managing consulting professionals.
• PMP certification or formal project management experience is preferred.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and executive-level communication skills.
• Regular 40-hour work schedule.
• Willingness to travel 40–50% of the time.
