This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Manager of System Solution Engineering (SSE) serves as the technical leader for the team.
• Accountable for ensuring that technical solutions align with the sales capture strategy.
• Aim to optimize business profitability while meeting customer expectations.
• Ensure the team develops high-quality proposal documents and technical drawings that effectively convey the proposed technical solutions.
• Engage in discussions and presentations with customers, consultants, vendors, and other L3Harris team members to advance projects.
• Collaborate closely with Sales Leaders in the western United States to prioritize team tasks and manage the proposal workload among a group of SSEs.
• Comprehend System Engineering Processes and drive continuous efficiencies and improvements.
• Enhance the technical accuracy of bid responses.
• Leverage real-world experiences to mentor resources on innovative design solutions.
• Conduct risk analysis for technical requirements and solutions.
• Execute strategic objectives set by leadership.
• Contribute insights into new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans that will significantly impact business outcomes.
• Mentor and manage a team of SSEs, cultivating a high-performance culture and establishing technical standards.
• Lead complex problem-solving efforts and ensure compliance with customer specifications.
• Collaborate with product management, sales, and operations to convert business needs into technical solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.
• Bachelor's degree with 9 years of prior experience in telecommunications systems design.
• Graduate degree with 7 years of relevant experience.
• Alternatively, a minimum of 13 years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience in designing Land Mobile Radio (LMR) systems (P25, DMR, LTE, etc.).
• Proficiency in IP networks, RF antenna systems, microwave systems, wireless data systems, and data networking.
• Experience managing a cross-functional team virtually with members dispersed geographically.
• Proven strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong presentation skills, capable of explaining complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
