This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Facilitates comprehensive RCCA across the designated supplier portfolio.
• Guides others on the execution of identified corrective and improvement measures.
• May oversee projects or processes of moderate scale, often recognized as a subject-matter expert in the field and within Quality Engineering.
• Possesses advanced to expert knowledge in Machining/Mechanical Fabrications.
• Influences others concerning policies, practices, and procedures.
• Encounters challenges that are complex and frequently difficult.
• Manages Supplier Quality & Development processes and/or projects as an individual contributor.
• Aims to meet objectives that significantly influence the organization's Supplier Quality & Development goals.
• Leverages expertise to contribute to supplier qualification/certification, assessment, monitoring, escape management, and quality issue resolution processes.
• Oversees the analysis of quality data and the formulation of part/supplier-specific quality issue resolutions and corrective actions.
• Provides research and advice for root cause analysis and problem-solving (A3, 8D, etc.) within escape management procedures.
• Develops corrective and preventive measures for systemic process and product design issues affecting supplied products.
• Leads the execution of the RTX ZERO program to ensure robust continuous improvement and sustainability among key suppliers.
• Typically requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related discipline.
• 8+ years of professional experience in a supply chain operations environment, ideally within Quality Engineering (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or an equivalent field.
• Profound understanding of the business, its context, and major challenges to effectively address internal customers’ needs and formulate satisfactory solutions.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% is required.
• Strong background in Machining/Mechanical Fabrications.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both internal and external executives and employees.
