Manager, Software Engineering – Web-based Authoring

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Serve as the essential link between Product Management, Design, interdisciplinary Unity teams, and Studio engineers to facilitate effective communication and strategic coherence.

• Promote technical excellence by coordinating collaboration on the Studio codebase, directing architectural choices, supervising PR reviews, and managing an efficient release process.

• Balance product speed with platform integrity by actively engaging with the development team and converting technical challenges into actionable plans.

• Propel engineering execution by enhancing agile practices, removing obstacles for developers, and ensuring the reliable delivery of high-quality features.

• Cultivate a high-performance, supportive environment by mentoring and coaching your team, while actively guiding their professional growth and career advancement.

• Proven experience in managing full-stack engineering teams, with the ability to quickly establish trust, mentor engineers, and nurture a high-performance, supportive engineering environment.

• Practical experience in optimizing agile workflows and overseeing dependable, high-quality release cycles while balancing live product reliability with long-term research projects.

• Capability to act as a liaison between Engineering, Product Management, Design, and cross-functional teams, translating intricate technical challenges into clear, actionable plans.

• Strong knowledge of full-stack development, web technologies, and architectural decision-making, with the ability to guide reviews and promote sound technical choices.

• Experience in scaling platform architecture to meet ambitious long-term objectives, with a passion for shaping the future of web-based collaboration tools and empowering developer communities on a large scale.
