Manager – Software Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and oversee a team of backend/full-stack engineers.

• Define and guide the architecture for applications built on Ruby on Rails.

• Take ownership of end-to-end delivery, ensuring predictable timelines and high quality.

• Design scalable and high-availability backend systems.

• Collaborate with Product, Program, and Business stakeholders.

• Maintain system stability and uptime through effective monitoring practices.

• Promote the adoption of Agile/Scrum best practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of experience in software development.

• Strong practical knowledge of Ruby on Rails.

• Demonstrated experience in engineering management and team leadership.

• Deep understanding of system design, distributed systems, and scalable architectures.

• Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

• Strong database proficiency with PostgreSQL/MySQL.

• Familiarity with Redis and background job processing (Sidekiq/Resque).

• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).

• Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
