Manager, Software Engineer – Partner Content

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Portugal.

📋 Description

• You will oversee a skilled and agile full-stack engineering team, leveraging state-of-the-art technologies to address edge cases on a global scale;

• Offer technical direction and career mentorship to the team, cultivating a culture of ongoing learning, psychological safety, and high performance;

• Set and uphold "gold standards" for development, testing, and CI/CD pipelines to ensure our systems remain stable and maintainable;

• Collaborate with Product, Operations, and Design leads to convert intricate business requirements into streamlined technical roadmaps;

• Create, deliver, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance solutions in conjunction with a cross-functional team;

• Participate in incident resolution and troubleshooting within the production environment, as well as drafting useful and critical post-mortems;

• Operate within a collaborative and agile setting that prioritizes people over process and focuses intently on productivity;

⛳️ Requirements

• You are an engineer with a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• You possess demonstrable experience as a Tech Lead, with at least 2 years in a formal or informal leadership/management role.

• Proficient in designing modern web and mobile applications and familiar with cloud-based architectures.

• You are skilled in one or more programming languages, such as Go, Java, Kotlin, Scala, or Python, with experience in Golang being a valuable advantage.

• You have a strong grasp of developing RESTful web services, working alongside front-end teams to define APIs, create mocks, and adhere to HTTP best practices.

• You apply computer science principles, including data structures, algorithms, problem-solving, and complexity analysis, in your daily tasks.

• You possess hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or Redis and understand their common application scenarios.

• You have outstanding interpersonal skills, capable of translating complex technical roadmaps into clear business value for non-technical stakeholders.

• You have professional working proficiency in English and can express ideas clearly during technical discussions.
