Manager, Server Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead a team of cloud engineers.

• Formulate and execute cloud strategies that align with the organization's objectives and deliver business value.

• Delegate team members to projects and oversee their activities.

• Ensure the development and maintenance of standard operating procedures and system documentation to enhance uptime and optimize IT resource utilization.

• Provide guidance and mentorship to the cloud engineering team.

• Ensure projects and tasks are completed on schedule.

• Review and supervise the architecture of intricate cloud solutions to ensure scalability, reliability, and security.

• Enhance cloud infrastructure for improved performance, cost-effectiveness, and security.

• Keep abreast of the latest cloud technologies and trends to foster organizational innovation.

• Manage cloud projects and collaborate with various teams for effective implementation.

• Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding cloud architecture, processes, best practices, and disaster recovery plans.

• Ensure adherence to security policies, data protection laws, and industry standards.

• Carry out additional tasks as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree is preferred, or equivalent work experience may be considered.

• A General certification in one of the leading cloud platforms is desired.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience is required, with a focus on large enterprise settings.

• Experience in the healthcare sector is advantageous.

• Background as a Cloud Engineer, emphasizing leadership and advanced responsibilities.

• Basic understanding of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Familiarity with cloud architecture, automation tools, and security best practices.

• Strong skills in leadership, problem-solving, and communication.

• Supervisory experience for up to 15 full-time employees (FTEs).
