Manager, Security Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and expand the Security Operations analyst team.

• Establish the strategy for Vanta’s security operations team.

• Empower the team to enforce robust security protocols and tackle emerging threats.

• Utilize AI to enhance team process efficiency and the maturity of the security program.

• Oversee incident response from detection to remediation and prevention.

• Identify, create, and implement new security operations procedures.

• Recognize new technologies and emerging threats.

• Plan technology-driven strategies to mitigate new risks.

• Assist with investigations.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure compliance and enhance security maturity.

• Report to the Director of Security.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive leadership experience in security.

• Capability to lead a global team.

• Strong background in security operations.

• Experience in implementing security controls within SaaS and cloud environments.

• Proficiency in crafting detection and observability strategies for security events.

• Knowledge of GDPR, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and relevant industry regulations and standards.

• Experience ensuring compliance.

• Ability to leverage AI to enhance security processes.

• Experience in incident response, including serving as incident commander.

• Skill in thoroughly assessing and analyzing security risks.

• Ability to prioritize risk remediation aligned with business goals and objectives.

• Strong aptitude for building trust and fostering partnerships with internal teams.

• Curiosity, eagerness to learn, and sound judgment in applying AI responsibly.
