This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish the risk pricing methodology for Extend, encompassing frameworks, validation standards, and regulatory guardrails.
• Spearhead pricing initiatives and ensure that risk premiums are justifiable, particularly for new categories with scarce data.
• Lead discussions on risk strategy with senior leadership, advising on programs for repricing, renegotiation, or exit options.
• Develop decision-making systems for claims initiatives, premium adjustments, and program negotiations.
• Integrate risk analyses into established business processes.
• Design and implement the Risk Analytics data infrastructure utilizing dbt and Snowflake.
• Manage data models, standards, and the long-term Risk Analytics roadmap.
• Mentor lead and senior data scientists, enhancing the team's technical capabilities.
• Promote AI-driven methodologies to boost the efficiency and quality of the function's output.
• Represent Risk Analytics in significant merchant negotiations and program decisions.
• Over 8 years of experience in actuarial pricing, predictive modeling, or related fields within Risk Analytics.
• Proven history of owning methodology or strategy development.
• Strong analytical abilities and data proficiency.
• Expertise in SQL and either Python or R.
• Experience in pipeline development and data modeling using dbt and Snowflake.
• Familiarity with visualization tools such as Tableau or Streamlit.
• Demonstrated experience in mentoring senior analysts or data scientists.
• Capability to uplift a team's technical standards without formal authority.
• Ability to conduct in-depth data analyses and convey insights effectively to C-suite and varied audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Enthusiasm for AI tools like Claude and Gemini, along with a willingness to explore their applications.
• Ability to think beyond the confines of the insurance sector and prioritize the overall business interests.

• ACAS or equivalent actuarial exam experience is preferred but not mandatory.
