Manager, Revenue Cycle – Post-Appeals

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise the daily operations of the Unresponded team, which includes an offshore team of over 124 representatives, along with supporting leadership and onshore Analysts and Supervisors.

• Oversee and facilitate the resolution of post-appeal payer responses across both commercial and non-commercial plans.

• Ensure prompt follow-up and accurate handling of outstanding appeals.

• Identify factors contributing to backlog and devise strategies to minimize aging unresponded appeals while achieving SLA targets.

• Collaborate with technology and systems teams to outline, prioritize, and execute workflow enhancements.

• Work with Denials & Appeals teams to escalate issues, document errors, and integrate feedback into the overall process.

• Manage the performance of direct and indirect reports through goal-setting, productivity assessment, coaching, and continuous professional development.

• Develop and refine standard operating procedures and workflows to maintain SLA compliance as volume increases.

• Act as a liaison between offshore leadership and onshore Natera personnel.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience is required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large teams within billing, denials management, or revenue cycle operations in a laboratory or healthcare environment.

• Proven experience in managing large, remote, or offshore teams.

• Extensive knowledge of commercial and non-commercial payer plans, appeal procedures, and post-appeal response workflows.

• Familiarity with various payer portals is required; experience with AMD is preferred.

• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with technology or systems teams to enhance operational workflows.

• Comprehensive understanding of the appeals lifecycle, including tracking and resolving post-submission payer responses.

• Ability to analyze backlog data, recognize trends, and translate insights into actionable operational strategies.

• Strong project management abilities.

• Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with adaptive workflows and systems.

• Effective communication skills across offshore representatives, onshore leadership, and technology stakeholders.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel); experience with billing platforms and payer portals is highly preferred.

• Knowledge of PHI handling regulations.
