This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Oversees and coordinates all clinical operations for field Registered Dietitians (RDs) to promote standardized care practices and deliver clinical nutrition and wellness governance for the designated regional operations of the Trinity Health system-wide shared services Food & Nutrition Services (FANS) Program.

• Collaborates with the Integrated Clinical Services (ICS) team to create and standardize Clinical Nutrition practices and their application across the assigned THS region, while supervising the efforts of Regional Health Ministry (RHM) dietitians to establish and standardize core policies related to nutrition care and support at the local level.

• Coordinates clinical evaluations with Regional Operations Managers to ensure the appropriate use of products on patient menus and to uphold the region's nutrition and wellness objectives in all culinary applications.

• Engages in the development and management of core clinical nutrition and wellness program standardization in partnership with System Office operations, regional and site Managers for FANS, and RHMs.

• Collaborates with senior leadership and management teams at RHMs to design and implement quality clinical nutrition programs in a cost-effective manner, ensuring alignment with Trinity Health and UEM goals, objectives, strategies, policies, and procedures.

• Guarantees that patient care standards, cost targets, and productivity improvement goals are achieved, while fostering service/product quality and customer satisfaction.

• Keeps the System Manager of THS Clinical Nutrition & Wellness informed about issues or challenges affecting program efficiencies and effectiveness.

• Attracts, nurtures, and trains talent to ensure program quality, sustainability, and long-term growth and development.


⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of Food & Nutrition/Hospitality management principles and practices, typically acquired through a Bachelor’s degree in Food and Nutrition or a related field, along with four (4) to seven (7) years of clinical nutrition management experience in a multi-hospital/site environment.

• Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) accredited by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).

• A Master's degree is required, preferably in Clinical Nutrition, Public Health, Health Administration, or Business.

• Proven experience in contract management organizations or self-operated system sites, field operations management, project management, and applying best practices within a regionally integrated service support group, leading cross-functional teams, with a track record of enhancing Patient Satisfaction scores within budgetary constraints.

• Capability to work effectively within a diverse, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.

• Proficient in developing methodologies for collecting and analyzing relevant data; auditing program processes; monitoring quality; diagnosing problems and their root causes, and providing recommendations for improvement.

• Exceptional leadership, analytical, organizational, planning, delegation, coaching, communication (verbal, written, and interpersonal), and computer (MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) skills; possessing a continuous improvement mindset and the ability to challenge conventional thinking at all organizational levels.

• A personal presence defined by honesty, integrity, and compassion, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to uphold the philosophy, mission, vision, goals, and values of Trinity Health.

• Self-motivated and independent worker capable of managing multiple conflicting priorities and demands.

• Ability to effectively delegate responsibilities and provide regular follow-up to ensure objectives are met.
