This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.
• Lead the project management team for Voluntary Benefits business initiatives.
• Provide leadership and oversight for projects and project managers.
• Ensure the efficient and effective delivery of priority projects in Voluntary Benefits by employing established methodologies.
• Manage the work environment and assess workforce needs.
• Align the team with the strategic priorities and goals of Voluntary Benefits.
• Offer hands-on leadership, coaching, and development opportunities for team members.
• Implement effective performance management practices.
• Develop, maintain, and continuously enhance the project management framework.
• Foster relationships with business leaders to comprehend objectives and priorities.
• Optimize project productivity through efficient resource allocation, training, monitoring, and coaching.
• Identify and implement improvements in processes that focus on quality, delivery, and customer service.
• Lead conversations with key business stakeholders regarding project performance and expected outcomes.
• A minimum of 6–7 years of progressive project management experience, particularly with projects requiring advanced operational expertise.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in a leadership role within project management.
• Previous experience in voluntary benefits or employee benefits is highly preferred.
• Familiarity with Waterfall and Agile methodologies is preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Project is preferred.
• Ability to proactively initiate work that contributes to the overall performance of the team.
• Capacity to adapt to various changing work demands and adjust team priorities accordingly.
• Ability to recognize the influence of internal and external challenges on the success of future business units or functions.
• Successful completion of a criminal background check, as well as verification of employment, education, and licensing.
