This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Offer specialized knowledge to the market access team, as well as the local and North American organization regarding Canadian and provincial pricing regulations and requirements for all diabetes care products.
• Utilize brand expertise and pricing knowledge to create and execute pricing strategies that enhance commercial contributions for the assigned portfolio throughout its lifecycle, including launch, negotiations, loss of exclusivity, and divestiture.
• Collaborate with market access and stakeholder relations managers to develop financial models that support proposed pricing strategies and identify opportunities for innovative pricing structures.
• Engage actively in pCPA, provincial, and private payer negotiations for diabetes care products to enhance the commercialization of both existing and emerging products.
• Lead the negotiation of product listing agreements and listings, ensuring a balance between speed and value.
• Assist the team in ensuring that contracts comply with corporate and legal standards.
• Monitor performance against contractual terms and key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Work alongside the market access team to design, negotiate, and implement innovative contracting solutions.
• Aid in the lifecycle management of agreements, ensuring effective performance tracking and optimization.
• Identify potential opportunities for novel reimbursement models and strategic partnerships.
• Accountable for obtaining local and North American approval for pricing strategies (list and net) for the product portfolio and ensuring that public and private payer contract terms align with organizational objectives.
• Clearly and appropriately communicate complex issues and challenges to both internal and external partners.
• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or life sciences.
• 5 or more years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Knowledge of pricing opportunities and considerations across various markets, including public, private, hospital, and public health.
• Proven track record in leading payer negotiations.
• Demonstrated capability to analyze complex data and convert insights into actionable strategies.
• Strong analytical skills, including forecasting, financial modeling, business impact analysis, and database management.
• Familiarity with the Canadian payer environment, including pCPA, provinces, and private payers.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, time management, prioritization skills, and attention to detail.
• Outstanding oral, written, and analytical skills, with proven experience in scenario planning, decision-making, and solution development.
