This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Collaborate closely with the Revenue Cycle Leadership to analyze data proactively, identifying challenges and opportunities for optimization within the revenue cycle (such as holds, denials, payers, practices, providers, enrollments, etc.).
• Work in tandem with the Revenue Cycle Leadership to pinpoint issues related to revenue cycle processes and workflows.
• Partner with the Revenue Cycle Leadership and Revenue Cycle Team to monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that facilitate revenue optimization.
• Assist in conducting Post Go Live reviews under the supervision of the Director of Revenue Cycle.
• Collaborate with the Markets, under the guidance of Revenue Cycle Leadership, to provide support in training and implementing processes (including travel when required).
• Offer support to the Revenue Cycle Team by handling data requests and system updates.
• Execute routine fee schedule additions in Athena and aid in the annual analysis and updates of the fee schedule.
• Oversee the addition of new providers and departments in Athena, ensuring the accuracy of revenue cycle setups.
• Work alongside the Revenue Cycle Team, Athena One Clinical Team, and/or Athena Project Managers on large-scale projects to ensure the correct setup of revenue cycle functions.
• Assist local Medical Group Services’ markets in the maintenance and implementation of revenue cycle policies, procedures, and guidelines.
• Maintain regular and dependable attendance.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, information technology, Health Care Administration, or equivalent work experience.
• Experience: At least 5 years of relevant experience in revenue cycle and accounts receivable, with a preference for practice management experience. A minimum of 2 years of experience with Athena is highly preferred.
• Certifications: Preference for Certified Professional Biller (CPB) or Certified Professional Coder-Apprentice (CPC-A).
