This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
• Assists in the strategic development of patient access initiatives at SPHPMA
• Responsible for overseeing the daily operations and workflow within the Access Center
• Allocates resources efficiently to enhance productivity
• Ensures exceptional patient experiences
• Optimizes resource capacity on a daily basis
• Develops, revises, and continually integrates process improvements into the training program
• Tracks productivity and performance metrics of Access Center Representatives
• Reviews reports and records to ensure accuracy in registration and appointments
• Aids in the formulation and dissemination of new procedures
• Prepares data breakdowns for timekeeping purposes
• Monitors daily metrics and dashboards
• Acts as a liaison to address the needs of both patients and staff
• Guarantees timely access and scheduling for patients
• Collaborates with leadership from Medical Associates
• Holds agents accountable for adhering to work processes and achieving outcomes
• Plans and engages in scheduled meetings
• Assists in selecting staff to meet departmental needs
• Reviews daily staffing requirements
• Communicates any schedule changes to relevant parties
• Delegates tasks effectively and establishes priorities
• Associate's Degree
• Three to five years of experience in a hospital or medical environment
• Proven track record of assuming greater responsibility
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities
• Excellent organizational skills and time management
• Ability to creatively solve problems
• Familiarity with medical terminology and various health insurance programs
• Strong skills in conflict resolution
• Capacity to motivate individuals and groups
• Ability to plan, organize, and direct the activities of others
• Proven proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel
• Demonstrated competency with various computer applications and programs
• Solid mathematical skills
• Experience in providing excellent customer service
• Proven experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing priorities
