This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• The Manager of NBA Accounts will deliver daily operational support to our NBA clientele.
• This role requires an effective communicator who prioritizes performance for our existing clients, reporting directly to the VP of NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships.
• Our ideal candidate possesses a comprehensive understanding of full season logistics in relation to NBA teams and hotels.
• Responsibilities include client onboarding, sourcing, contracting, overseeing daily operations, and promptly addressing Individual Travel requests, finance, and analytics.
• Serve as a liaison with the team travel secretary to develop a detailed team resume before initiating hotel contracts for the upcoming season.
• Following schedule releases, block potential hotels for the season, coordinating check-in and check-out dates to accommodate various scenarios.
• Negotiate hotel contracts to secure the best rates and favorable concessions based on team preferences.
• Review all contracts with the VP of NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships for accuracy before presenting them to the team for review, approval, and signature.
• Collaborate with the team on daily operational requirements.
• Conduct a Zoom call with the Hotel CSM 72 hours prior to arrival to confirm all arrangements for a successful team stay.
• Be available 24/7 for last-minute requests, needs, or changes from the travel secretary.
• Ensure effective and timely communication with both internal and external clients to deliver best-in-class service.
• Review the final invoice prior to submission to the team after it has been processed by PIVOT Travel's internal accounting.
• Follow up with the team and hotel regarding any feedback or challenges encountered during the stay.
• Actively seek new opportunities within NBA teams and other professional sports organizations to expand the PIVOT Travel portfolio.
• Manage and oversee NBA Team Accounts under the guidance of the VP of NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships.
• Create and send emails both internally and externally to clients.
• Assist clients with individual travel requests.
• Utilize Salesforce to build and manage accounts, contacts, prospects, etc.
• Some travel may be required for this position.
• Perform any additional duties assigned by the VP of NBA Travel & Hotel Partnerships.
• A suitable level of drive and resilience to effectively manage multiple high-priority projects in a fast-paced, technical environment and a rapidly evolving industry.
• Advanced negotiation abilities.
• Proficiency in using Salesforce, CVENT, Google Suite, Zoom Info, and MS Office.
• Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and efficiency.
• Outstanding presentation skills, both written and verbal.
• Strong understanding of hotel hierarchy.
• BA/BS degree in Business, Sports Management, Marketing, Hotel Management, or related fields.
• Over 3 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, and Business Development.
• More than 3 years of experience in a position related to NBA/Hotel (BBOPS and/or Hotel Sports & Entertainment Sales Manager).
• Advanced knowledge of NBA logistics and hotel logistics from both competitive and business perspectives.
• Established book of business and industry connections.
