This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.
• Oversee the ongoing management and operation of a vital managed services platform.
• Lead a team comprising Project Managers and Business Analysts.
• Supervise developers and testers through a matrix management structure.
• Plan, manage, and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory, operational, and contractual obligations.
• Handle project initiation activities, which include identifying client requirements and stakeholders.
• Ensure that platform changes and releases are in accordance with operational standards.
• Create and maintain detailed delivery and resource plans.
• Collaborate with Product Development, Sales, and various cross-functional teams.
• Establish and nurture strong client relationships through regular engagement.
• Lead change management initiatives related to platform releases.
• Assist in the recruitment, development, coaching, and performance management of Project Managers and Business Analysts.
• Serve as the main liaison between technical and non-technical teams.
• Coordinate activities and resources across multiple technical and business teams.
• Manage delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and track project progress.
• Oversee third-party vendors and subcontractors.
• Manage platform customization and integration with FIS and third-party solutions.
• Deliver informative and decision-oriented presentations.
• Identify process gaps and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Extensive experience in Project Management, Programme Management, and/or Release Management.
• Proven background in the FinTech sector, especially within payments.
• Significant leadership experience, including team management and development.
• Strong knowledge of merchant acquiring, payment switching, and clearing processes.
• Exceptional skills in stakeholder management and relationship building.
• Comprehensive understanding of project management methodologies, standards, processes, and governance frameworks.
• Experience managing projects across diverse delivery methodologies and life cycles.
• Knowledge of industry standards pertinent to card payments.
• Strong grasp of the financial services sector and payments ecosystem.
• Advanced proficiency in project and programme management tools.
• Demonstrated experience in managing project budgets, resource plans, and delivery schedules.
• Strong negotiation and influencing abilities.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and time management skills.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication capabilities.
• Ability to engage confidently and effectively with executive-level client stakeholders.
