This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Oversee and expand a portfolio of major donors and high-potential prospects throughout Canada.
• Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors through strategic relationship management.
• Create and enhance a robust donor pipeline aimed at long-term philanthropic growth.
• Design tailored engagement and solicitation activities that align with donor interests and organizational priorities.
• Personally conduct face-to-face meetings, presentations, and discussions regarding gifts with donors.
• Secure substantial and multi-year philanthropic commitments, including gifts of six figures.
• Actively identify and seek out new major gift opportunities through research, networking, referrals, and relationship-building.
• Foster meaningful relationships with individuals, families, community leaders, and select corporate partners.
• Confidently guide prospects through all phases of the donor cycle, from initial discovery to stewardship.
• Maintain disciplined management of the pipeline and revenue forecasting utilizing CRM tools and reporting systems.
• Provide high-touch donor stewardship that enhances long-term engagement and philanthropic investment.
• Ensure that donors feel informed, connected, and appreciated through impactful communication and reporting.
• Support donor engagement opportunities related to mission, research, and community impact initiatives.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues across fundraising, mission, and leadership teams to align donor opportunities with organizational priorities.
• Involve volunteer leaders and advocates to aid in donor cultivation and relationship-building efforts.
• Contribute to a cooperative and high-performing national fundraising team.
• Demonstrated experience in frontline fundraising, major gifts, philanthropy, or advancement.
• Proven track record of securing significant philanthropic gifts and managing donor relationships successfully.
• Strong background in donor cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and moves management.
• Confidence in leading strategic conversations with donors and conducting face-to-face fundraising meetings.
• Experience in managing and expanding a donor portfolio with measurable revenue outcomes.
• Exceptional relationship-building skills with the capability to engage executives, community leaders, volunteers, and donors.
• A proactive, self-directed, and strategic approach to pipeline development and donor acquisition.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.
• Comfort in a dynamic, fast-paced, and collaborative national environment.
• Willingness to travel as necessary for donor meetings, events, and relationship-building opportunities.
