This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee the systems, integrations, and operational framework that support business activities throughout the organization.
• Supervise tier-1 IT support and address daily challenges with internal tools.
• Develop data flows and integrations between systems while spearheading projects and supporting AI technologies.
• Work in conjunction with the Operations, Finance, and Legal teams to enhance efficiency.
• Take on occasional off-hours responsibilities for critical system outages.
• Strive to create a centralized internal knowledge repository, evaluate internal platforms, improve identity and access management, assess preparedness for SOC 2, and establish sustainable IT operational procedures.
• Over 5 years of experience in IT operations, business systems, data engineering, or systems engineering, with a background in leading projects, mentoring colleagues, and/or managing a domain end-to-end.
• Practical experience in administering contemporary SaaS environments (such as Okta or similar IdP, Google Workspace or M365, Salesforce, an HRIS, a finance or ERP system, as well as support and engineering tools).
• Proficient in Jira administration and comfortable in supporting cross-functional operational workflows.
• Extensive experience in designing and maintaining data models, integrations, and pipelines, with advanced SQL skills and practical experience using modern cloud data warehouses and ETL/ELT tools like Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, dbt, Fivetran, or Airbyte.
• Practical, hands-on AI proficiency — you have utilized tools such as Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Cursor, or similar to accomplish significant tasks, assisted others in adopting these tools, and formed a perspective on their effectiveness.
• Experience in actively managing a security compliance program (SOC 2, ISO 27001, HIPAA, or comparable standards) rather than just observing.
• Proven history of building integrations utilizing APIs, iPaaS tools (such as Workato, Tray, Zapier at scale), or native connectors.
• Capability to interpret ambiguous business requirements into scalable technical solutions, convey trade-offs clearly, and cultivate strong working relationships across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• A tendency toward prioritizing documentation, automation, and self-service to avoid becoming a bottleneck.
• This position is a 4-month contract role with the potential to transition to a full-time position.
