Manager – IT Infrastructure, Cloud Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Lead and nurture a high-performing team of engineers specializing in infrastructure and cloud services.

• Set objectives and key performance indicators (KPIs), offer mentorship and coaching, and perform evaluations of team performance.

• Recruit and onboard new team members while fostering diverse and inclusive teams.

• Develop staffing plans, on-call schedules, and coverage models to support 24x7 global operations.

• Oversee support for on-premises, virtualized, and cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage solutions, and containers.

• Drive initiatives for capacity planning, patch management, configuration management, backup and recovery, as well as disaster recovery.

• Implement infrastructure-as-code and automation strategies utilizing tools such as Terraform and Ansible.

• Manage multi-cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, focusing on landing zones, IAM, networking, security, guardrails, cost management, and FinOps.

• Assess and trial emerging technologies, outlining clear pathways for adoption.

• Collaborate on secure CI/CD pipelines, artifact management, and GitOps workflows.

• Set SLOs/SLAs, ensure observability, manage incident responses, and conduct post-incident reviews.

• Enhance runbooks, automation processes, and standards to minimize issues and accelerate mean time to recovery.

• Supervise WAN/LAN, VPN, DNS, load balancers, and cloud networking infrastructure.

• Maintain uptime for voice and communication platform integrations.

• Implement security measures, policy-as-code, compliance guidelines, audits, and regulatory obligations.

• Refine technology standards and execute technology roadmaps in collaboration with architects.

• Provide follow-the-sun service delivery and incident response support.

• Monitor performance metrics, SLAs, and operational KPIs.

• Lead problem, change, and configuration management practices aligned with ITIL standards.

• Initiate process enhancements to improve efficiency, reliability, and customer satisfaction.

• Collaborate with various practices, product teams, data teams, Information Security, and global IT departments.

• Articulate technical subjects to non-technical leaders and develop executive-level business cases.

• Partner with peer IOC managers to ensure seamless end-to-end service integration across global operations.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline; or equivalent experience.

• Over 10 years of experience managing cloud services and infrastructure within a global framework.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience leading engineering teams.

• Knowledgeable in data center operations, virtualization, and cloud networking, including VPN, load balancing, DNS, and cloud network architectures.

• Understanding of AWS, Azure, and/or GCP platforms.

• Familiarity with cloud-native services, IAM, networking, security, and cost optimization strategies.

• Strong grasp of observability, incident management, change management, and operations aligned with ITIL practices.

• Proven history of driving process enhancements, standardization, and operational excellence across distributed teams.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

• Capability to influence and engage stakeholders at all organizational levels.

• Inclusive leadership qualities, talent development, and team-building expertise across diverse, cross-cultural teams.

• Preferred: Master’s degree in a related field.

• Preferred: Experience in multinational organizations and in providing 24x7 global service support.

• Preferred: Knowledge of containers and orchestration technologies, including Docker and Kubernetes.

• Preferred: Experience with infrastructure-as-code, automation, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Preferred: Relevant professional-level certifications in AWS/Azure/GCP, ITIL, project management, Databricks, or security.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Databricks, AI/ML platform enablement, emerging AI technologies, and patterns for enterprise adoption.
