Manager, Infrastructure Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of infrastructure engineers.

• Collaborate with support, customer experience, and engineering teams to ensure smooth service delivery.

• Oversee infrastructure projects that align with business objectives and the technology roadmap.

• Direct procurement, installation, and configuration of compute, storage, and networking hardware.

• Manage Cisco switches, routers, Fortigate firewalls, HPE SANs, compute nodes, network infrastructure, and storage infrastructure.

• Ensure the stability and performance of Windows Server environments and Remote Desktop Services.

• Oversee Active Directory environments, including both on-premises Active Directory and Entra ID.

• Propel automation of provisioning, configuration, and routine maintenance using Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps.

• Work in partnership with Information Security teams to design secure and compliant infrastructure.

• Improve monitoring and alerting systems to proactively identify and address issues.

• Maintain thorough documentation and encourage knowledge sharing.

• Manage a 24x7 on-call rotation, ensuring prompt issue resolution.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Over 7 years of experience in datacenter infrastructure roles.

• More than 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.

• Demonstrated success in managing infrastructure within a multi-datacenter environment.

• Strong technical expertise in networking, virtualization, Remote Desktop Services, Windows Server environments, and automation tools or scripting.

• Familiarity with Cisco switches and routers, Fortigate firewalls, HPE SANs, and compute nodes.

• Experience with Active Directory, including both on-premises and Entra ID.

• Proficient in Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, and Azure DevOps.

• Understanding of security and compliance standards such as SOC 2.

• Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving abilities.

• Capability to manage a 24x7 on-call rotation.
