Manager I – Project Controls

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Lead the project controls personnel assigned to a project management team.

• Ensure that Blattner's project controls processes and deliverables are executed efficiently and provided to the project team.

• Analyze project data and suggest process enhancements to the Director of Portfolio and Project Controls, as well as the project management teams.

• Supervise the designated project controls team and external consultants.

• Conduct performance evaluations, approve time, recruit, and mentor the project controls team.

• Develop, manage, and analyze Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules along with schedule risk assessments.

• Oversee risk management and change management processes.

• Manage the workload of project schedulers, ensuring the timely delivery of schedules, cost forecasts, risk registers, analyses, dashboards, S-curves, and histograms.

• Perform strategic analysis of project data to inform management decisions.

• Provide clear, actionable recommendations to achieve project goals.

• Guarantee that project controls contractual commitments to clients are fulfilled.

• Advise project management on the assessment, creation, and execution of contracts and change management.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent education and relevant experience is required.

• Five or more years of progressive experience in construction project controls, including project scheduling, cost management, or risk analysis, or a combination of these experiences.

• 3-5 years of prior experience leading senior-level individual contributors is required.

• Subject Matter Expertise in Primavera P6.

• 50% travel required if remote, or 25% travel if willing to relocate to Minnesota.

• Experience in renewable projects is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with cost software and/or JD Edwards is beneficial.
