Manager, Healthcare Privacy – Data Protection Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Conduct assessments to identify gaps in privacy programs, including privacy impact assessments and data protection risk evaluations.

• Execute evaluations of internal controls and perform audits related to privacy.

• Facilitate training sessions on privacy and conduct interviews with client stakeholders.

• Offer advisory support related to privacy and data protection issues.

• Create and manage project plans, budgets, outputs, and deliverables.

• Develop client presentations, awareness materials, and resources for training.

• Draft management reports detailing the status of privacy and data protection programs.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in a privacy role within a life sciences company or consulting firm.

• Knowledge of global privacy principles including purpose limitation, data minimization, notice, consent, individual rights, data transfer, and retention/destruction.

• Familiarity with elements of privacy programs such as DSARs, vendor privacy risk management, incident management, ROPA, PIAs, and training.

• Strong project management abilities, including mentoring and managing teams.

• Exceptional organizational skills to handle multiple time-sensitive tasks concurrently.

• Robust critical analysis and problem-solving skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with experience in presenting to diverse audiences both in-person and virtually.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Forms, Power BI).

• A Bachelor's degree is required; a Master's degree in a relevant field or a JD is highly preferred.

• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
