Manager, Global Trade

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Formulate import and export strategies for evaluating international suppliers, issuing purchase orders, and managing foreign manufacturing of defense and dual-use items.

• Create licensing plans and offer guidance on intricate licensing strategies and program development.

• Provide consistent interpretation of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and Export Administration Regulations (EAR) to Business Unit personnel.

• Prepare, submit, monitor, obtain, and manage all required export and import licenses, permits, and certifications from the U.S. government.

• Collaborate closely with internal clients to establish export and import approvals that facilitate the effective export of technology, technical data, hardware, and services.

• Ensure that the scope of work is reviewed with relevant functions, stakeholders, and foreign entities prior to submission.

• Collect signed agreements and other necessary documentation from foreign parties.

• Provide program and stakeholder updates to keep them informed.

• Review approvals to guarantee that execution and deliverables are taken into account.

• Oversee the daily execution of agreements and licenses, ensuring compliance with all activities governed by those agreements and licenses.

• Monitor authorizations for any changes that may impact them.

⛳️ Requirements

• Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.

• Knowledge and application of U.S. Global Trade regulations such as ITAR, EAR, Customs, ATF, etc.

• Familiarity with DECCS, SNAP-R, OCR EASE, and/or SAP/GTS systems.

• Proven experience in drafting, submitting, implementing, and managing agreements, licenses, General Correspondences, Third Party Transfers, complex export strategies, and/or similar requests.
