Manager, Global Scientific Affairs

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Sweden.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation and execution of scientific communications and medical initiatives for designated assets.

• Collaborate closely with the Global Scientific Affairs and Medical Affairs leaders to ensure the high-quality production of congress materials, medical education, and training programs.

• Concentrate on operational execution, project management, and content assistance, guaranteeing timely and compliant execution of scientific strategies.

• Aid in drafting, reviewing, and formatting scientific documents.

• Maintain tracking systems and ensure adherence to milestones.

• Coordinate deliverables for congress events.

• Communicate with internal stakeholders and agencies for content generation.

• Ensure that materials align with scientific and compliance standards.

• Assist in the development and distribution of internal and external training resources.

• Organize logistics for training sessions (including content, speakers, and timelines).

• Manage the repository of training materials and keep it updated.

• Serve as a primary operational liaison with Medical Affairs, Regulatory & Compliance, Clinical and Market Access teams, as well as Affiliate medical teams.

• Monitor deliverables and guarantee alignment among stakeholders.

• Prepare internal updates, slide presentations, and reporting documents.

• Maintain project schedules, trackers, and communication timelines.

• Identify potential risks or delays and proactively escalate them.

• Assist in the execution of digital/multichannel initiatives.

• Ensure that documentation meets compliance standards and is ready for audits.

• Conduct literature reviews and summarize key scientific findings.

• Keep track of external developments relevant to the assigned assets.

• Aid in preparing internal scientific briefings.

• Support the scientific communications strategy for the assigned assets.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external agencies to identify suitable medical communication solutions that align with product/disease area strategies in various regions.

• Assist in identifying, developing, and executing essential training needs for the affiliates.

• Contribute to innovative digital/multichannel strategies for disseminating medical materials.

• Remain informed about internal and external developments pertinent to the assigned assets.


⛳️ Requirements

• An advanced degree (PhD, PharmD) or MSc in life sciences (PhD preferred but flexibility may be considered based on seniority).

• 2–5 years of experience in Medical Affairs, Scientific Communications, or the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

• Experience in Cardiometabolic disorders is preferred.

• A collaborative team player with strong interpersonal skills, capable of effectively working within a team and interacting respectfully with individuals from diverse cultural, seniority, and functional backgrounds.

• Proven experience collaborating with Market Access, Medical Affairs, Clinical, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance teams.

• A role model demonstrating the highest scientific and ethical standards, adhering to applicable rules and regulations.

• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.

• Strong strategic thinking, prioritization, time management skills, and a robust sense of accountability.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is required.

• Fluency in English; additional European languages are a plus.
