Manager, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Lead the preparation, review, and finalization of SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K)

• Create new disclosures that comply with US GAAP and industry standards

• Prepare financial statements along with the statement of cash flows

• Oversee the quarterly reporting cycle as a project manager

• Act as a liaison with external auditors

• Perform peer disclosure research and draft necessary documentation

• Support various monthly Accounting closing processes

• Mentor, coach, and cultivate the skills of junior accounting personnel

• Continuously improve SEC reporting procedures

• Maintain and strengthen internal controls

• Actively engage in special projects

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting

• At least 4 years of direct experience in SEC reporting, preferably within a 'Big 4' public accounting firm or a rapidly growing technology company

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• Active CPA license is highly preferred

• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP along with experience in researching and drafting financial statements

• Proficient in SEC reporting software (Workiva, Intelligize), ERP Systems (Oracle Fusion), and Excel

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and meeting deadlines

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Highly organized with outstanding time management skills and attention to detail

• Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
