Manager, Financial Reporting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee the preparation, review, and finalization of SEC filings (Forms 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K) along with XBRL exhibits.

• Create new disclosures that adhere to US GAAP standards and align with industry peers, while preparing internal reporting documents.

• Generate financial statements and cash flow statements, ensuring accurate representation of accounting areas.

• Manage the quarterly reporting process by coordinating with stakeholders and handling requests efficiently.

• Serve as a liaison with external auditors to ensure timely audit completion.

• Conduct research on peer disclosures while considering U.S. GAAP requirements.

• Provide assistance with monthly accounting closing procedures.

• Mentor and develop junior accounting personnel while addressing ad hoc financial reporting needs.

• Continuously enhance SEC reporting processes and controls.

• Engage in special projects as they emerge.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5-8 years of progressive experience in accounting, including at least 4 years focused on SEC reporting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

• Active CPA license is highly preferred.

• In-depth understanding of U.S. GAAP with experience in researching and drafting financial statements.

• Proficient in SEC reporting software (Workiva, Intelligize) and ERP systems (Oracle Fusion).

• Self-motivated individual capable of working independently and meeting deadlines.

• Excellent written and verbal communication capabilities.

• Highly organized with superb time management skills and attention to detail.

• Adaptable to a fast-paced and evolving work environment.
