This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Drive the strategic vision and operational implementation of several software development teams over a one-to-three-year roadmap timeline.
• Attract, recruit, mentor, retain, and develop software development engineers through tailored career plans and performance management.
• Organize, oversee, and guide the delivery of product and modernization roadmap projects.
• Synchronize product roadmaps, architectural strategies, and software development workflows.
• Work in partnership with product management, architecture, QA, operations, and other cross-functional teams.
• Define architectural and development strategies for scalable, maintainable, and high-quality software solutions.
• Apply Agile and Lean Development methodologies while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable software products and outstanding customer experiences.
• Lead application security remediation efforts and mentor on secure programming practices.
• Provide technical contributions as necessary and maintain a hands-on involvement.
• Advance the technology stack through cloud, web, mobile, AI/ML, microservices, big data, and API-enabled platforms.
• Invest in co-op programs and nurture candidates into full-time software engineers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
• Over 5 years of software development experience, showcasing strong expertise in software engineering.
• Demonstrated history in technical leadership roles, including more than 1 year managing and guiding engineering teams.
• Extensive hands-on experience in software engineering practices with a successful track record of leading engineering teams to achieve impactful results.
• Strong proficiency in Agile/Lean environments, including practical experience with common Agile/Lean methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban).
• Proven ability to attract, hire, develop, and retain top-tier technical talent, with experience in managing globally distributed or remote engineering teams.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical information and strategies to a diverse array of stakeholders.
