Manager, Correspondence

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily functions of both teams and the Mailroom

• Directs the Correspondence, Collection, and Mailroom Team, ensuring smooth daily operations

• Conducts orientation for new hires and trains staff to achieve optimal performance

• Provides guidance and administers discipline to employees in line with company policies and procedures

• Plans, evaluates, and reviews staff contributions to maintain productivity and performance

• Implements cross-functional training and succession planning where applicable

• Manages the overall health and daily operations of correspondence, collection, and mailroom activities

• Assesses, designs, and executes improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, quality, and deliver a top-tier customer experience

• Implements, monitors, and assesses report data to effectively manage operations and throughput within the correspondence and collection department

• Ensures adequate staffing coverage, manages scheduling adjustments, and oversees overall workforce management

• Analyzes trends to identify opportunities for enhancements, innovative solutions, and ongoing process improvements

• Undertakes special projects and performs additional duties as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED

• Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field, or a minimum of two (2) years of supervisory/management experience

• Preferred: One (1) year of experience in healthcare customer service

• Proficient in scheduling/workforce management software

• Familiarity with customer service best practices, processes, and procedures

• Understanding of medical billing department processes and procedures

• Excellent customer service skills

• Strong supervisory and management capabilities

• Proficient in word processing, spreadsheet, and database software

• Strong mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division of whole numbers and fractions; calculating percentages; and working with decimals

• Exceptional oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills at a management level

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Excellent time management skills

• Committed to continuous process improvement

• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

• Ability to cultivate a customer satisfaction-oriented environment with demonstrated outcomes

• Capability to read, comprehend, and apply state and federal laws, regulations, and policies.
