• Engage effectively with both internal and external customers to foster mutually beneficial relationships and frequently impact business decisions.
• Execute strategies aimed at enhancing acquisition timelines and accelerating customer contractual actions.
• Analyze and resolve intricate contractual issues by employing sharp critical thinking, gathering comprehensive information, exploring innovative contracting methods, and proactively working with relevant stakeholders.
• Offer strategic advice and recommendations concerning various contractual rights/obligations, regulations, and policies/procedures to minimize risks and prevent unauthorized changes.
• Assess proposals to ensure that the suggested solutions align with customer needs, maintain a balanced risk/opportunity profile, and provide a financially viable business case while adhering to company policies and standards.
• Formulate pre-negotiation objectives and conduct negotiation strategy reviews as part of the proposal development process.
• Counsel the Collins Program Management Office and the Government regarding alterations to contract requirements and ensure a comprehensive change management process is established to identify, communicate, adjudicate, negotiate, and implement changes to contract requirements.
• Travel is required 10%-15% of the time.
• Generally requires a University Degree and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with at least 5 years of experience.
• The ability to obtain and retain a U.S. government-issued security clearance is mandatory.
• U.S. citizenship is necessary, as only U.S. citizens qualify for a security clearance.
• Previous experience with U.S. Government contracts, specifically in Design & Development programs (Cost Plus Incentive Fee (CPIF), Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), and Firm Fixed Price (FFP)).
• Familiarity with applying and interpreting FAR, DFARS, ITAR, and other relevant U.S. Government regulations in support of contract management or proposal activities.
• Proven experience in preparing and negotiating proposals and contracts, including terms and conditions, statements of work (SOW), pricing structures, and fee/profit arrangements.
