This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead and support manufacturing facilities in the development and ongoing enhancement of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and work management execution.
• Conduct maintenance evaluations at manufacturing sites, pinpoint opportunities, and spearhead the formulation and implementation of improvement action plans.
• Oversee and manage one or more enterprise maintenance systems or standards, which include documentation, training, assessments, and KPIs.
• Direct or assist in maintenance readiness initiatives for new capital equipment and design-for-reliability efforts.
• Offer direction and advice to the Reliability Center of Excellence (COE) and the Operations Leadership Team (OLT) concerning Technician Capability programs at manufacturing facilities.
• Monitor performance metrics, identify areas for enhancement, hold sites accountable, and lead improvement initiatives.
• Gain insight into the current state of Technician Capability training programs across all manufacturing locations.
• Guide all manufacturing sites in the implementation and maintenance of Technician Capability program standards, systems, and best practices.
• Collaborate with manufacturing locations to identify Technician skill gaps and support improvement activities.
• Develop and maintain documentation for the Technician Capability program, including standards, flow charts, and One Point Lessons (OPLs).
• Calculate and publish KPIs for the Technician Capability management program.
• Facilitate a monthly Technician Capability management meeting that includes representatives from all manufacturing sites.
• Organize and lead training events as needed.
• Work in partnership with external Technician Capability management collaborators, including Amatrol, SACA, and VOLT.
• Provide strategic insights on training options, encompassing on-site, local technical college, and online delivery methods.
• Collaborate with HR and Legal teams regarding training funding and grant opportunities.
• Offer support through TEAMS or on-site as required.
• Act as a thought leader and technology expert in Technician Capability management.
• Attend and actively engage in Reliability COE and Engineering meetings and events as needed.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• Over 10 years of experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing setting.
• Strongly preferred experience in maintenance management.
• Extensive knowledge of manufacturing equipment and parts.
• Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S methodologies.
• Significant experience in developing preventive and predictive maintenance plans.
• Proficient in major predictive maintenance technologies.
• Experience in implementing and managing Technician training programs.
• Familiarity with Amatrol and SACA Technician training programs.
• Working knowledge of SAP for Work Management.
• Working knowledge of SAP for Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) storeroom and materials management.
• Advanced Excel skills for data analysis.
• Familiarity with SharePoint and TEAMS.
• Proficiency in using PowerPoint to create and deliver presentations.
• Comfortable conducting training and presentations for groups of varying sizes and organizational levels.
• Willingness to travel, with a typical requirement of 50%, though it may occasionally reach up to 75%.
