
Manager, Continuous Improvement – Predictive Maintenance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Lead and assist manufacturing facilities in the development and ongoing enhancement of preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and work management implementation.
• Evaluate maintenance practices at manufacturing sites and spearhead the creation and execution of improvement action plans.
• Take ownership of one or more maintenance systems or standards at the enterprise level, which includes documentation, training, assessments, and key performance indicators.
• Facilitate site readiness activities for new capital equipment, ensuring that maintenance preparations are in place.
• Direct the predictive maintenance strategy and its execution across all manufacturing sites, which involves the implementation of standards, systems, and best practices.
• Oversee predictive maintenance performance, identify gaps, monitor key performance indicators, and lead continuous improvement initiatives.
• Provide advice and direction to the Reliability Center of Excellence and senior leadership regarding predictive maintenance performance and opportunities for enhancement.
• Collaborate with sites to evaluate current predictive maintenance capabilities and assist in improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain documentation for the predictive maintenance program, including standards, flow charts, and one-point lessons.
• Lead monthly predictive maintenance meetings with manufacturing sites, including the development of agendas, updates, and tracking of actions.
• Plan and implement training programs throughout the organization.
• Collaborate with external predictive maintenance vendors and service providers.
• Offer remote and onsite support to manufacturing locations as required.
• Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend investment opportunities to enhance predictive maintenance capabilities.
• Engage in Reliability Center of Excellence and engineering meetings and events.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical engineering discipline or equivalent experience.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in maintenance roles within a manufacturing setting, including at least 5 years in a maintenance management position.
• Extensive understanding of manufacturing equipment and components.
• Proficient in continuous improvement methodologies, including Total Productive Maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and 5S.
• Significant experience in developing preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Familiarity with asset performance management systems related to predictive maintenance.
• Experience with artificial intelligence-assisted or driven predictive maintenance.
• Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared, and oil analysis; vibration certification preferred.
• Understanding of enterprise resource planning systems for work and materials management.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Proficient in using collaboration tools like SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
• Experience in creating presentations and delivering training to diverse audiences.
• Willingness to travel (typical requirement is 50%, but it may occasionally require up to 75%).
